Yes - a little, but we're still new to servlets/Turbine, so I thought we'd save that 
for later/version 2...

Yes, I'm keeping the validate - although I've still to work out how to get field level 
messages, especially re-mandatory fields - I want to try centralise the validation bit 
and getting an error indication - since its basically the same code.

I agree with the proper wrappers bit, but don't get me onto MVC (ie 
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-09-1999/jw-09-toolbox.html )


I've gone the get/set route for now (but with my getElement -nee getHtml method ;-) ) 
- it was fairly easy once I got started - I'm at the point of sorting out field level 
validations and of course saving to the db...
