great...but i don't see how this ties into what we were talking about. :-)

all we are talking about right now is a generic way to initialize objects at
startup and at doGet() time. it isn't about configuration, it is about
initialization.

as for configuration frameworks...i will take a look at what you have talked
about and report back...
