Yes.  But defensive programming is good.  I was thinking about the whole
WAR lib thing just a second ago.  It really is needed but this shouldn't
just be a Servile 2.2 thing, it needs to be part of the JDK so that you
can just have META-INF/lib within any .jar... 

If it weren't trivial ( would only take me an hour ) I would just make
this a WAR issue.

Don't wonder.  I will say it right now.  I *suck* at writing
installation instructions. :)
