Perhaps I misstated.  I did not mean to actually include the JGL in Turbine,
but rather to include this type of design (which originated with the C++
STL).  This type of generic algorithm design using predicates and function
objects is very powerful and results in an easily extensible system.

I'll let the DB experts address your other questions.  As for using
JGL, it's a fine package however it's not open source and I doubt
the license would be compatable with distributing it with Turbine.
