Hello!

I have a question arising from my disscussion with Oki,
concering problems with running Turbine using Sybase ASE.
It turns out, that Sybase server can be configured to be
sensitive to the case of tables and colum names - as a side
efect of changing servers sort order used for indexes and
sorting text fields, to be case sensitive. I know that this
souds silly, so here is an excerpt from TSQL user's manual p.36:

* Note that Adaptive Server's sensitivity to the case of database
* objects, such as table names, depends on the sort order installed on
* Adaptive Server. You can change case sensitivity for single-byte
* character sets by reconfiguring the Adaptive Server sort order.

Oki reports, that user administration application doesn't work
because of colum names case problems. I checked the screens and actions
and found that they are using Peers, and no direct SQL. Then I checked
TurbineMapBuilder.java and files in om/user/peer nad om/security/peer
and as far as I can tell they are consistent with db schemas in terms
of names' case. Before I spend more time checking these, I wish to
have another thing cleared out:

Are Peers and Village transparent to table/column names case?

It's clear that they are, in terms of table names because MySQL/Linux.
Now it turns out that there are db engines sensitive to column names
case as well.

Thanks in advance for information...
Rafal
