I'm a little confused by your message. Are you speaking about configuring "JServ" vs "other application servers", or "Jserv with Turbine" vs "JServ with other app servers"? I'll assume you are talking about configuring Turbine with JServ since this is the Turbine mailing list. You are correct that the current documentation seems geared toward Tomcat, but the FAQ has alot of useful information regarding setting up Turbine with JServ. I don't think you're 'talking out of turn' to ask about better documentation and your contribution of installation/configuration documentation is needed. Your situation seems perfect for generating it ( since you've experienced it first hand ). FWIW there is some good information in the FAQ about installing jserv/turbine. Contributions of documentation to open source projects are as valuable as contributing code. Another helpful area, which many of us use, is this list and posting questions here about configuration issues. Being available to others here is also contribution to the project. I hope you don't take this as a flame. I'm hoping to elicit some contributions, as it seems you are, to make this product better. l8r, jb "Brevsville Administrator" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Excuse me if I am talking out of turn, but I am a fan of Apache and a fan > of JServ, but myself and my colleagues found Turbine a bitch to get > running. > > This is not a criticism of Turbine, but rather the fact that there are > differing marketplaces for such products and one is not being addressed. > As an example, I was recently asked which servlet runner to use by a > moderately experienced part time programmer.
