Hey all,

I really appreciate the amount of voting that is going on on this list. You
guys are being great about being cautious about stuff. I really appreciate
it. But, you really do not need to be quite as cautious. You guys are doing
a really great job and stuff like the NewGenerateMapBuilder stuff is
excellent. Go for it.

I guess the rules are (as I see them):

If you are changing the core turbine servlet area, then definitely vote on
it on the list. For example the recent proposals for the changing of
handling binary data were just not needed (no offense to anyone, it was just
a matter of education).

If you are implementing something new and exploring new territory, go for
it. Just commit this stuff. For example, all the database OR tool changes
and such.

If you are not on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] CVS commit message
mailing list and you are checking stuff in, please subscribe to that list. I
watch very carefully every single check-in to Turbine. I will catch it if
you mess up or do something I don't like. :-)

This group rocks. I use us as a perfect example of how OSS development
should work and how groups should get along and work together. I'm really
proud of that.

p.s. If someone could clean up what I just said a bit and document it in the
turbine/docs directory. That would be great. :-)

thanks!
