Howdy Turbinos,

This is Paul O'Leary. This is something of a re-intro because I met a few
of you at Turbine/Scarab summit last month. I was very impressed then with
the direction Turbine was heading and the people involved and have become
more impressed having lurked on the mailing list for a while and checked out
the code.

We at Evolvent Tech are psyched about Turbine so we're going to jump in with
both feet. Myself and another engineer, Chris Campbell, will be working
with you full time for the next few months.

I know 'how can we help?' is a poor question but any suggestions are
welcome. I've checked out TODO.txt but nothing in there jumps out at me. I
have plenty of ideas, though...

We seem to be signing on at an 'interesting' time (Jon's 'state of flux');
Chris is banging on getting Turbine running right now. We'll figure it out.
Maybe the first thing we'll do is test and help document the TDK. We'll
probably fade in and out for a while as we get things running and ramp up on
the code.
Although I probably will chime in on any issues I see that I think I can
contribute to. There have been a few since I've been lurking. I do love to
chime in :)

A couple of quick newbie questions:

. for those of you that develop on Win32 is there a recommended
IDE/Editor/Debugger?

. from the best I can tell with my limited JServ/Tomcat knowledge these
servlet containers are standard thread pooled/free threading engines, no? A
more direct way to ask/say this is: any 'shared service' servlets in Turbine
need to be thread safe. Is this correct?

Sorry in advance for the verbosity.

cheers,
PaulO.
