My favorite compiler is Sun's JDK1.2.2 or 1.3 together with Ant. You can use the
Turbine
Ant task directly out of the box :-)
As far as editors go I use UltraEdit. It is a Text/Code Editor with very nifty
features
and it loads faster than anything else I've seen! I use it to edit *all* my text based
