Sorry for this offthread posting, but I think quite many people on this list are developing on/for Linux and can help me out. I'm setting up a Linux machine to run Jetspeed/Turbine/Cocoon and have to make two choices: JVM and servlet engine. 1. I've downloaded the following JVMs: Sun 1.2.2 Sun 1.3.0 Beta IBM 1.3.0 Can anyone comment on these? How is the performance of Sun 1.3 vs. IBM 1.3? Is Sun's beta stable? Or should I stick with 1.2.2? 2. I've downloaded two open-source servlet engines (servlet 2.2): Tomcat 3.1 Resin 1.1.3 As I've understood from the Resin website, Resin is more than 2 times faster than Tomcat. Is this true also with Turbine applications? Any other useful suggestions? Or maybe Tomcat 3.2 beta 2 is already stable enough? How is the performance difference with that version?
