FYI, something to add to the Known Issues list....
I was just trying to use turbine.tools.torque.JDBCToXMLSchema, but I was
not getting any output to the system-jdbc.xml file. It turns out a
"SER002 No writer supplied for serializer" exception was being generated
during the XML serialization phase. I downloaded the Xerces 1.1.0 source
(the version included in Turbine's CVS), and traced the problem to a bug
in Xerces. I then downloaded the latest (1.1.3) version of Xerces, and it
all worked great.
Maybe it's time to update the Xerces library included with Turbine?
