Guys, I know you hate to see these "I can't get Turbine to run!"
messages, but here's another.
Over the last two weeks I've been through and through the docs and tried
everything I see suggested there, but no luck.
1)The build went ok.
2)Set all paths and suggested settings.
3)I think the initial servlet is starting, since Turbine complains if I
remove the TurbineResources.properties file.
The current issue is an error with TurbineWebMacroService:
Exception: org.apache.turbine.services.InstantiationException: Service
TurbineWebMacroService failed to initialize:
init() failed to initialize service TurbineWebMacroService
and
java.lang.Exception: The logfile= property and the turbine.logs=
property in the TurbineResources.properties file are null
or could not be found. At least one of these properties must be defined
in the TurbineResources.properties file.
Please make sure that you have properly defined the path to the
TurbineResources .properties file
No matter what I put in logfile=, ie
logfile=c:\temp\turbine.txt
the error recurs. (I did create turbine.txt)
Any ideas ? Nothing in the archives seemed to address this.
Should I try the TDK instead ? I need to get that with CVS I believe.
Any help appreciated. Turbine looks like a great tool, but getting
started is sure frustrating.
