True. 
But this could be a good starting point (at least for the ideas). If we
are lucky enough, there could already exist a Java port.(to be
investigated)
We also have to check the Licensing problem: AFAIK rpm is GPL,...

At least if TDK (and Turbine) could know on which some_package.jar
version it depends. This could save us a lot of time. (We already
experinced jar version problem.)
One could even imagine an automatic bug-reporting tool like the one in
JDE.
