I looked into the use of multiple template roots with the template service
this weekend. I pretty much added the support for it, but thought of a
possible problem, so I would like it discussed before I commit anything.
It is necessary for the templates to have distinct paths relative to the
screens directory(s). If multiple path roots are possible, it is still
necessary that each template have a distinct path.
For example:
templateRoot1/screens/admin/edit_user1.wm
templateRoot2/screens/admin/edit_user1.wm
is going to cause problems.
Even having an admin directory in each of the templateRoots will not be
allowed:
templateRoot1/screens/admin/
templateRoot2/screens/admin/
will potentially mess up the association of layout templates with screen
templates.
Is it still worth supporting multiple template roots? Or is this going to
lead to too many questions? Are the people who are running multiple path
roots right now, being very careful not to duplicate paths?
