Just for you to know, I went through this nightmare a couple of months
ago. If your MTA is Exchange Server, you should know that there is a
reported bug that will make it ALWAYS send HTML mail (maybe in
addition to plain text), no matter what your client settings are. The
article
in M$'s site is Q222508. There is a fix for it, but it took me a long
time to convince the sysadmins over here to apply it. In the end, they
said they didn't apply it; instead, they changed some setting in
Exchange Server from MIME to UUENCODE (I'm not sure about
this, I have never met these people face to face).
