Hey all,

We just got JDK 1.2 running on FreeBSD in both Linux emulation mode, with
the ports collection of the Linux JVM as well as following the directions on
www.freebsd.org for compiling a native 1.2 JVM. It is now running on
apache.org. Woo hoo! Jyve and thus Turbine is running just fine and seems
quite fast (much faster than 1.1.8).

Given that JDK 1.2 now exists on every major platform, I'm proposing to
finally drop JDK 1.1 support in Turbine.

Can I get a vote from the active developers?

thanks,

-jon
