Hi,

I'm a complete newbie to Turbine, but I'm trying to rewrite a fairly
complex application that was originally done with JSPs etc. using
Velocity templates and so on. I've downloaded and installed the TDK and
built a few sample apps - which is fine. Now I want to work out user
authentication.

What I'd ideally like is for there to be a particular address used to
logon, which is password-protected by Apache (that way I can check
usernames against an NT domain). That logon page would then assign a
session to the client, stick it into the database and so on - Turbine
would then handle the 'is this user allowed to access this page'
questions, but not the 'is this a valid username and password' ones.

There seems to be no documentation on these features; could someone
please point me in the right direction? Give me a brief overview of the
standard Turbine stuff, then how I would have to alter it?

Thanks very much in advance,

-Simon
