The main reason I think this was happening was that people were defining
the response mechanism with the "screen" parameter while using
WebMacroSiteLayout. WebMacroSiteLayout assumes you are defining the
response page through the "template" parameter. I know I have not yet
added this to the docs, so I will say it again. If you use the
"template" keyword Turbine will assign java modules and layout templates
based on a naming scheme. If you use the "screen" keyword you are
defining the Screen module, it is then up to the Screen on whether it
defines a template, or not, it might use ECS or be used to serve binary
data, etc. It is probably wrong to use WebMacroSiteLayout with a Screen
meant to be called in such a way, though it could be done if you make
sure to set the layout template in Screen.getLayout(RunData) prior to
returning "WebMacroSiteLayout".

The error must be similar for your case, but I am not sure. You might
want to try defining a null Layout in your error Screen. Though
depending on when the error occurs the Layout may already be set by the
normal Screen.
