Hi! As the talk about release plans came around I wanted to bring to your attention a few things I believe we need o resolve in Torque besides just clean-up. I may be wrong about some, but that was my impression: 1. There is a mess between primary keys/unique ids. There are some pieces of code working with the assumption that every table has an auto-increment column which is the primary key. In reality we may also have a case when there is a primary key composed of one or more columns none of which is a unique-id. We actually have support for these, BUT I suspect (or rather I believe I've seen it somewhere in the code) that it is sometimes confused. Needs clarification. Also Unique ID is being used as a flag of whether the record is new or existing one and whether Update or Insert should be used to save it. This is OK for tables which have ID column but certainly isn't for tables without ID. I think we need a boolean flag for that and ID should only be id. Any opinions on that? 2. What about changing notation of PKs to be more like FK and UK notation like <primary><coolumn/>...</primary>; it's ot critical but nicer. 3. There was smth else. Don't remember now... ;-) -- fedor.
