I am aware that this is not the JetSpeed list. I am not concerned about
JetSpeed at this point. I am looking for some tools to create a personal
portal, and Turbine looks like a good set of tools. I know I have not
followed the install to the letter. I just want my classes to have access
to the jar files, mainly to play with it to see if it is worth investing
more than a weekend in.

Now I am back to my original problem. I downloaded the tdk from the web
site yesterday, and pulled the jar file out. I stuck it in the correct
places and it seems to work, except for the verify throws a fit. I have
tried to redownload, verify, recopy, and so on, still same problem. I even
went so far as to download the tar.gz version, I am on Windows 2000, and
still same problem. I have a feeling the file is corrupted. You mentioned
that Ant would sometimes mess things up, unless I am confused I have not
used Ant yet. So this leads me back my problem. Turbine does not work, at
least for me.

What I would like to try now is to rebuild Turbine from scratch. I tried
running the build-turbine.bat and it fails. With the same error message:
"[javac] javac: invalid flag: -sourcepath". I check my version, Sun's
jdk1.2.2 , javac and it does not support the flag -sourcepath. So, my
question is how to either one build it, or two get a working copy of the
Turbine jar. Any suggestions, help, or pointers would be appreciated. BTW
I am not new to Java or Tomcat, and yes the both work.
  Thanks,
  Anthony Mills
