It is easyest getting started with Turbine and using Tomcat, as is ready
to run in the TDK ( Turbine Developers Kit ). You can get it from:
http://java.apache.org/turbine/tdk
The TDK is tested to be up and running in minutes.
Make sure the TurbineResources entry for turbine.log and webmacro.log
can be found by Turbine. In the case of Win32 make the path's to them explicit. Like;
f:\\path\\to\\turbine.log
Note that you will probably need to configure either MySQL or
Hypersonic DB for the sample applications of the TDK to run.
The TDK installation documentation states howto.
The current Jyve snapshot might not be up to date to be run on
the current Turbine snapshot (and the TDK). Please read the Jyve
mailing list postings on compatible versions and necessary steps.
Good luck,
Christoph
