How about the following:
Torque could be changed to shorten the names of db-objects to a specified
length.
A second way could be that the xml-scheme gets a new element for an optional
db-object name.
Both ways the Java classes could have the complete name and only the
database objects
have shortened names.
I could look at this, but I am not shure if I am deep enough in the relevant
parts of the framework.
