Sorry, I think of the "global set of objects" as a duplicate of the 
model data, but now that I re-read everything, there is no duplication - 
model data isn't requested from the store until the template requests it 
from the "global set of objects".

Hmmmm...sounds a lot like PVCS Dimensions.  That was probably the only 
GOOD thing about Dimensions - a definable process model.  (Considering 
that Merant calls Dimensions a process control system, I suppose they 
had to get that much right.)

But I understand now.  I think it will be difficult to enforce the 
policies without asking either the web person to write too much code, or 
moving backwards - back toward the PUSH model.  (MVCC lite?)
