Sorry for the off-topic, but I think people here may have experience with
this.
Here where I work we use a framework somewaht similar to Turbine to build
our web applications (we have only two servlets, one of being being
responsible to handle the 404 errors which we treat differently from
standar 404 errors). For that, we've been using Apache JServ and it has
always served us well.
From time to time I look into the development of Tomcat, and I'm always
tempted to use it. But, every time I try to install it and run it with
Apache it is really hard. JServ is really straight-forward to setup,
given our needs.
So, aside from JServ not being developed anymore, is there any advantage
in using Tomcat, seeing that it would be used to *only* run two
servlets? All static content would be served by the Apache server.
On a "on-topic" side, I've already expressed my desire to contribute, but
I am not really having any free time lately. I'll soon be on vacation
from university, so I'll be able to catch up with Turbine development,
and try to understand it, and maybe even suggest some things from the
project I've been working on for my software engineering lab.
