If there is a load balancer that redirects the requests for a specific
URL to multiple machines, all of them would get the same identifier.
Load balancing over multiple JVMs inside a single physical machine
does not make much sense, so those IDs still have a good chance to
be machine-wide unique.
The ID will still refer to single logical application entity.
On the other hand - if all of the machines share disk storage,
there is fair chance of temporary filename clashes :-(
