The suggestion has bounced around a couple of times to divide the mailing lists into a Turbine users' list and a Turbine developers' list. I do agree with Jon that (at least initially), traffic will probably go to the wrong lists - typically users sending to the developers list. However, I believe that if the documentation about the lists is kept up-to-date, that this cross-posting will be minimized. (Look how many people were trying to install Turbine according to the Install document as opposed to the TDK because the doces weren't updated.) I think that it might be convenient for the launching of this list to coincide with the launching of the next official TDK. The new TDK should have the new security model in-place, and all the Torque stuff (woohoo!) fleshed out, and should be close (IMHO) to a usable product. Of course, what I say really carries no weight. I've watched the list for awhile now, and I can't *think* of any major issues preventing the next TDK from being a stable release, but there's still a lot that I don't understand. So take this for what it's worth - practically nothing. Just wanted to get people thinking about it...
