Hello all,

I apologize for the wait, but as usual, my time has been consumed with
other stuff. In any case, I'd like to show you what the new (I hope)
   jyve system will be like.

   http://howe.ncsa.uiuc.edu/gjyve/servlet/gjyve

It is basically a generic data organizer.

Take a look at the different projects, (the 'To Do List' shows some
   of the features).

There are no permission restrictions. so you can do everything.
Feel free to add your own project.

Here are some of the features:
   ---------------------------------
You can design your own data hierarchy
You can choose your own data types (date, currency, email, text, etc)
or you can provide your own. Also these data types
provide filtering capability (see Poker Minutes->Players->Earnings)
You can choose how many data units can be added
if you choose 1, then you get the ability to search on that
field as well. AND when you create the parent data unit,
the form also includes an entry for each of it's children.
(see the 'To Do List' Project)
You can classify your data types as well (see the Contact List Project)
and you can provide your own as well.

   Coming Attractions
   ------------------
You will be able to attach your own event handlers at any level
      (see the 'GJyve FAQ' Project)
You will be able to dynamically switch the template being used based
on what project is being displayed
The ability to search is on the to do list and coming soon.
The input types will provide the needed javascript to do client
      side input validation

Also, cast your vote on what we should call this
(see the 'Name This Software Contest' Project)

   thanks

   mike
