I need a way to generate a field value from the value of the generated ID. For example, if the generated ID is 99, I might set another field to "ABC99". Looking at the source, I can't figure out a way to do this, as the generation of the ID and the insertion of the record is an atomic operation wrapped up by the doInsert() operation.
