You're right, what I wrote isn't thread safe. To be honest though,
there's quite a lot of code around Turbine that assumes that users will
not be making multiple simulataneous requests (some of TurbineUser is
not thread safe for example), which is all I'm doing. (i.e. the
UserLanguage instances aren't global singletons but per-session
singletons).
