Fred made a nice little script that downloads the contents of the tg2 portion of the wiki as .rst files, and I've been playing with putting those source files into sphinx and building a full TG2 doc set.
My current plan is to check this into the wiki next weekend, and officially switch all new doc-production over to the various .rst files in SVN. There'll still be plenty to do, but I'd like to put up a TG2 preview website, and post these docs to that site. This should put us in a relatively good position to do a TG2 preview release, which will happen as soon as Pylons gets 0.9.7 out. I'll make a tg 1.9.7 package available, make the preveiw site live, and we can do an announcement. But I'd like to unveil sphinx based docs when we do the release. So, I'm quietly updating the current docs, and trying to get ready for that. So, the question is: 1) do you think this is a good plan, and are we agreed that a move to sphinx is a good idea? 2) is there anything I'm overlooking? For the TG2 preview site, I think we should set it up at tg2.turbogears.org and tg2.turbogears.com for the time being, and just add a prominent link to it off the main site. -- Mark Ramm-Christensen email: mark at compoundthinking dot com blog: www.compoundthinking.com/blog --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears Docs" group.
