overall the patch seems good. I'll implemented the tg config as a
dict.update but that's easily fixable.
I'll suggest you drop a line to the TW ML, so someone with commit access
over there could apply the small patch.
I'll assign the ticket to myself and will probably have time earlier next
week to commit it, if someone can work on this earlier please do so :)
