We should plan to drop support, but not for 1.1 (minor version numbers should have relatively few user-facing changes (and the CP3 transition provides enough of those all by itself). I might support genshi/SA becoming the defaults in 1.1 (even with the ET wrapper for widgets in genshi). At least assuming that Genshi 0.4 comes out with the <?python ?> support. But there's a lot of user code which would need to be migrated to 1.1, so I think we have to support both Kid and SQLObject in the near future.
