I don't think this is a good plan.  (I'm ignoring the ";)")

We have a history of never abandoning backwards compatibility and I'm proud of 
that.  If we abandon that once, then there'll be this ghost haunting us on 
every new change introduced or major version released.

If needed, I'd hold the release of 2.0 to have the needed integration layer 
coded.

I'll try to come back to the speed I had last year with regards to TG testing 
and coding, but I can't comit myself to writing that code now (specially 
because I'm reducing code with SQL Object and hence reducing my testbase -- 
yeah, I like regression tests and "production" tests ;-)).
