I don't know enough (yet) to help, but I think this sounds like a
great idea.

I prefer Routes to CP-style dispatch, but like everything else TG
provides.  Especially returning a dict (except in a few special
cases).

So, if these can be turned on and off separately, though would be a
huge win.  Particularly if they can be mixed (so a Route could call in
to a controller, which would use CP-ctyle dispatch for the rest of the
URL).

The more we can pick-and-choose which features of TG2 to use, the
better.  All IMHO.
