I've been wondering recently what we gain by putting TG2 on top of Pylons. I understand the benefits of using paster and wsgi, but it seems like it would be fairly short work to make the TG2 root controller just be a WSGI application itself (rather than using the default route from Pylons). What exactly does Pylons enable for TG2 beyond basic WSGI? Just some thoughts...
