I found the zipcode database: http://www.populardata.com/downloads.html

Now I just have to get the whole base going.
 I was following your tutorial until the point: "We are now ready to
access the vector data from the PostGIS spatial database using the new
countries controller."

I guess if you could provide instruction on how to get that database
or tell me how to import data to postgres/postGIS from some dump file
you might have, then I could move on.


I'll download the files you linked to
(http://google-summer-of-code-2008-turbogears.googlecode.com/files/Sanjiv_Singh.tar.gz)
and see if it has more details maybe.
