AlI can say is wow. pip is simply awesome. I just expend about 3 hours installing different things and not only was it able to handle everything I gave it, but it was so informative that I solved any small quirks that our system (private index+easy_install) still has.
I made a ticket for it and placed extensive testing instructions and all the small problems we need to fix in order to be 100% pip compatible, which I think we should do asap, this will allow us to make releases super easy, and going back to pypi. Specially windows as that is supposed to be the less supported pip platform.
