Here are my notes from the TG BoF. Feel free to clean them then to send them to the relevant people or to simply keep the TODO part for sprint. * sprint TODOs ** docs ** c5t ** release of 2.1 ** sprox ** website * what went right? * who uses TG ** sourceforge ** red hat ** should be listed on the landing page * some other people are willing to mainting TG1 ** they should be empowered to do it ** it's expensive to cather to them ** it's a mess with internal politics * landing page should not be a list of release ** mramm wants to fix the landing page at the sprint ** mid term, desing on C5T, tested, staged, and everything * rhel 6 ships with 2.0 * good stuff with TG ** built-in auth ** widgets * tosca widgets is not backward compatible with TW1 ** less than an hour to move a widget from 1 to 2 ** validators are the same ** js callback is purposefully not there * not working with Pylons 1.0-beta * repoze.who / auth ** gonna be taken out of the repoze repo ** should make it easier to use openid and friends ** who.ini is a mess * lots of key contributors are now gone * a story on pluggable applications would be nice ** django apps are helping the momentum a lot ** there is not one blessed way to do it with TG ** a namespace registry would solve the DB clashes * need to be strict on requiring docs and tests for all contribs * there's a sprint in Montréal on 2010-03-13 all day long * should have a marketing ** marketing tracker would help ** there is a marketing mailing list * there will be real time web apps on TG (Moksha) Cheers, -- Yannick Gingras http://ygingras.net http://confoo.ca -- track coordinator http://montrealpython.org -- lead organizer -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears Trunk" group.
