I had not. It provides some good food for thought, though. My initial reaction to it, though, is echoed by many of the comments: Yet another set of files to manage that have to be dealt with by admin and end user alike.
I'm not sure that I'm dissuaded from using the entrypoints, though, for two reasons: 1. I'm very distinctly against writing yet another plugin system. Getting it right is insanely difficult. 2. Refusing to use a current and available tool to solve a current problem on the grounds that it could cause a problem seems counterproductive to me. I'm open to switching to something else, but I'm trying to keep my dependencies down a little bit, at least. What else can I use in its place that is out there and works right now that won't require me writing a plugin system myself?
