Okay, I've started looking at the GSOC application process. We're definitely cutting it close for how much information we need to put in. We have to have it submitted by 2300 Mar 11, 2011.
For the list, I have a couple of questions: 1. I am volunteering myself as GSOC admin for TG. Is there somebody else that the community would prefer to see take on this role? 2. I have some basic ideas (tgext.config, tgext.git, CMS enhancements, tgext.usermgmt) for extremely good/useful projects for us. What ideas do other people have? What code related projects would help to bring TG forward? 3. I am volunteering myself as a mentor. Chris Perkins has already volunteered himself as a mentor as well. Who else will volunteer? Also (in keeping with their application process) why should you be chosen as a mentor? Some of the names that I know that I'd like to see mentor, if they have time, are Alessandro, Christoph, Diez, and Mark. Please do speak up, even if it's to say you can't. The rest looks like it's just going to be a fair amount of typing on my part. I'll prep the application with the details that I have, and we'll fill in the details are more of them come through from everybody else. Thank you for your feedback! -- Michael J.
