I have just completed the last of the DNS updates for the new server to go live. These updates will begin propagating out today, and start being visible to the world within the next four hours.
The following changes were applied: - updated IP: turbogears.org - updated CNAME: beta.turbogears.org, doc.turbogears.org, download.turbogears.org, files.turbogears.org, svn.turbogears.org, tgext.turbogears.org, trac.turbogears.org, www.turbogears.org, and www2.turbogears.org - deleted: pypi.turbogears.org - added: git.turbogears.org, git-tg2.turbogears.org, git-devtools.turbogears.org, git-doc.turbogears.org (these all redirect to sf.net using Apache on turbogears.org) - added: wf.turbogears.org (this points to the webfaction server) The following records were not updated, but need to be revisited soon as they appear to be broken: - buildbot.turbogears.org: Technically not down, but vastly out of date configuration - irclog.turbogears.org, paste.turbogears.org, planet.turbogears.org: Connection timeout errors every time I try to access them - geo.turbogears.org: bad gateway when I try to access it The MX record is, as yet, untouched. However, I'm working through getting the Google Apps for Domains setup working. We can then have @turbogears.orgemail addresses for those on the core team who wish it. In the meantime, are we using the current MX record? It points to the WebFaction server. Are we doing anything with that at all? I was unable to find anything, but that doesn't necessarily preclude it being used. -- Michael J.
