I ported TG Dispatch system to Crank on Both 2.2 (development) and 2.3 (pylons-less) branches, it seems to work correctly and all tests are passing on both branches.
To work correctly it requires Crank ab320cb7394b, current stable crank release (0.6) had some minor issues that caused TG tests not to pass. They already have been fixed in the crank repository, so remember to clone crank before trying crank based dispatch.
