Just to keep the thread up to date, recent changes include default quickstart to toscawidgets2 and support for tw2 resources archiving.
I'll try to get in touch with Chris Perkins about the need to switch sprox to tw2 to make tgext.admin work, as currently people are forced to use --enable-tw1 when quickstating if they want to use tgext.crud and tgext.admin. I'm not really sure that the widgets browser justifies the added complexity and dependency of having to handle tw2.devtools, most people will probably be fairly happy with just http://tw2-demos.threebean.org/ and those who need to give a look to libraries not included there can install tw2.devtools and run the widgets browser by themselves.
