Jason, This was my situation. I deleted the old setuptools, and re-installed the newer version of setuptools.
Turbogears was setup up correctly, the problem was mine. Turbogears is a great system, the egg install is a nice system. It is really hard to do a multi-platform, remote installer. Once I corrected my mistake, it did the right thing!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Mike
