Thank-you so much for posting this. It is the only way I could get TG to install on my Tiger system. I tried all the instructions on the TG website, but none of it worked, neither updating, nor, after deleting all traces of 0.5.1, installing from scratch. I think the key was manually installing setuptools before running the TG easy_install script.
