Hi, I do plan to have fairly frequent releases. (It hasn't been *that* long since 0.8 :)
People who want the very latest should stick to svn. I'll try to keep the docs up to date with regards to getting things out of svn. (I know that the current svn checkout version requires an easy_install RuleDispatch which I should add to the docs). It should be possible to make nightly easy_installable builds, but I'm not sure if there's any advantage to that over svn.
