I agree that the obstacles aren't insurmountable, and I have been
working on surmounting them!
How far are you along in the process, and what publishers are you considering?
I put a proposal inquiry in to O'Reilly a while ago, and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I also have some contacts at Apress and Que. Maybe we could collaborate, or at least make sure that the books are complementary.
