Hi, There is an open ticket[1] for Kid's (non)handling of XHTML entities at the moment. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. Although I'm not 100% sure it's being actively worked on right at this moment, it's slated to be fixed before Turbogears 0.9.
Is this the same issue that you're having? If not, could you post a snippet of your kid template and the traceback that you get?
