I would vote #1 For an ecommerce project i'm currently using the following URL scheme:
catagoryname/subcatagoryname catagoryname/subcatagoryname/edit catagoryname/subcatagoryname/.../productname catagoryname/subcatagoryname/.../productname/edit Editing the product and catagory 'pages' directly feels verry natural.
