I agree. I'm definitely in the YAGNI camp myself, and you don't need to extend controllers.Controller until there's a feature there you know you need. (controllers.RootController *does* have a purpose - to allow TurboGears to find the root of an application. Even that's not necessary if you only ever plan on having one TurboGears app running inside a CherryPy server.) Kevin
